Computational fluency with whole numbers is essential and forms the foundation for many higher level math concepts. The California Math fluency standards require students to perform calculations and solve problems quickly and accurately. Conceptual, frequent, visual, practice grounded in numerical connections is recommended. The links provide ideas and resources for games, activities, and practice both online as well as with concrete objects.
